The Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy was established on the basis of the Medical Center at the State University by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 239 of June 3, 1998. Currently, the branch works with medical schools of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in the specialties of "Medical and pedagogical work", "Medical and preventive case" and "Higher medical care"General practitioner", "Doctor". "General Hygienist Epidemiologist" and "Highly Educated Nurse".
— Mission & Vision:
Since 2005 there are prepared 64 Doctors of Sciences, 388 Ph.D. There is created coordination
council “On Coordination and Monitoring of Research Works being implemented under grant on Ecology
and Human Health”. The main research unit of the academy is the Central Research Laboratory (CRL).
There are going on 25 projects, out of them 18 are applied, 3 – fundamental, 2 – innovation, 2
are for youth. 160 staff members are involved to implementation of grants.

To create conveniences for students of Ferghana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy, in particular, for foreign students, dormitories have been set up in the Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. There are all the conveniences for living in dormitories.
Foreign students studying in educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan are fully protected with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other legislative acts. As well as, foreign students are required to comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other legislative documents.
