Introduction

Kingston University London (abbreviated KUL) is a public research university located within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, in South West London, United Kingdom. The university specialises in the arts, design, fashion, science, engineering, and business. It received university status in 1992, before which the institution was known as Kingston Polytechnic.

Mission & Vision:
Kingston University came 102 out of 127 UK universities in the Complete University Guide (2018). The Times/The Sunday Times Guide placed it at no. 102 (Good University Guide, 2018). In 2018, The Guardian placed Kingston 58th out of 121 surveyed universities.[46] Kingston was ranked 1st out of 121 institutions for its graphic design and product design courses by The Guardian in 2017.

The qualifications you’ll need will depend on the course you want to study. Some qualifications (such as A-levels and BTEC National Diplomas) are below university level and lead directly onto higher education while others (such as HNDs and Foundation Degrees), are university-level qualifications that will enable you to join a degree course in the second or third year.

Since 31st March 2009 UKBA has introduced a new Point Based Visa System. You must be able to show that you have been accepted on a full time course of study for a period of course at an educational establishment that is on the UKBA’s Register of Sponsors and you must secure 40 points in order to secure your Tier 4 General Student Visa.

You are allowed to work 10 hrs/ week during your studies if you are studying at a Public Funded Institution. You are allowed to work 20 hrs/ week during your studies if you are studying at a Public Funded Higher Education Institute (Universities) You are allowed to work full time during your vacations.
